June 30th, 2026 (Washington, D.C.) – Credential Engine is excited to announce that Nick Moore has joined Credential Engine’s Board of Directors. Moore serves as the Adult Education State Director at the Alabama Community College System, where he oversees adult education programs statewide and works to align learning opportunities with workforce and economic development priorities. His extensive experience in workforce policy, credential transparency, and state-level systems change makes him a valuable addition to the Board.
A longtime champion of Credential Engine’s work, Moore has helped advance credential transparency in Alabama, one of Credential Engine’s longstanding state partners. He brings firsthand insight into how transparent credential information can improve outcomes for learners, employers, and state leaders. With this addition, Credential Engine’s Board of Directors continues to bring together leaders from education, workforce development, human resources, labor, and public policy.

Prior to his current role, Moore served as Acting Assistant Secretary for the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) at the U.S. Department of Education while concurrently serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration. In those roles, he helped develop the regulatory framework for the Workforce Pell Grant program and launched the first federal definition for talent marketplaces. Before his federal service, he served as Director of the Governor’s Office of Education and Workforce Transformation under Alabama Governor Kay Ivey, leading efforts to establish the Alabama Talent Triad, the nation’s first statewide talent marketplace.
