Credential Engine released a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking an experienced partner to help scale CTDL xTRA, an open source, AI-assisted platform developed by Credential Engine to transform publicly available web content into structured Credential Transparency Description Language (CTDL) data in the Credential Registry.

The selected partner will collaborate closely with Credential Engine’s engineering team to evolve CTDL xTRA into a scalable, production-ready platform that improves the extraction, transformation, validation, and publication of credential information. The project will focus on advancing AI- and machine learning-assisted workflows while maintaining Credential Engine’s commitment to open source development and interoperable data standards.

Credential Engine is looking for a collaborative technical partner with expertise in AI/ML-assisted extraction systems, semantic technologies, linked open data, workflow orchestration, and scalable platform architecture. The work will build on CTDL xTRA’s existing capabilities, helping expand support for additional CTDL classes, improve extraction quality and efficiency, and strengthen the platform for long-term sustainability.

The RFP welcomes responses from qualified organizations with experience developing production-ready AI solutions and open source technologies that support education, workforce, and data interoperability initiatives.

Responses are due by August 14th, 2026. Following an initial review, selected respondents will be invited to participate in technical discussions to further refine implementation priorities and project scope.

Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to review the full RFP for project requirements, response instructions, and evaluation criteria.
