Bettina Timme is Credential Engine’s Project Lead for the Retail and Hospitality Credentials Initiative. This work focuses on managing and growing partnerships with sector-relevant organizations, cultivating an advisory group to promote the work, expanding the number and completeness of retail and hospitality-related credentials in the Credential Registry, and advancing the development of applications that use this credential data.
Before joining Credential Engine, Bettina worked on the NRF Foundation’s RISE Up initiative, creating and updating a suite of retail-related credentials. These updates included a standards-based curriculum and training materials for three credentials, as well as industry-validated assessment exams for this portfolio. Bettina also produced a suite of end-user materials such as credential implementation guide, candidate handbook, and FAQ document to streamline user experience and create consistency across processes. Before her work at the NRF Foundation, Bettina worked as a Senior Project Manager in the Association for Talent Development’s (ATD) Education department, project-managing over 200 annual in-house education programs for enterprise clients and international partners. In this role, Bettina was the liaison between the ATD Education Department, Sales Team, corporate clients, instructional designers, facilitators, subject matter experts, and coordinators to ensure effective collaboration for the delivery of onsite learning programsBettina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia. Additionally, she has a Master of Arts in Psychology in Education from Columbia University, and a Masters in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
