Certification & Licensure

The Certification and Licensure Advisory Group brings together leaders from across the certification and licensure industries to inform and guide Credential Engine’s work around credentialing issues and trends and ensure that the organization’s efforts incorporate the best practices and pertinent data that will help the certification and licensure community meet current and future needs.

The Certification and Licensure Advisory Group created Credential Transparency for Certifications: Guidance for Publishers to offer best practices for publishing information about certifications to the Credential Registry.

Why We Believe In Credential Transparency

Creating a transparent credential marketplace using the technologies available through Credential Engine enables the certification and licensure community to have:

  • Clear understandings of their credentials, their components, and their connections to both each other and the workforce
  • Deeper understanding in the workforce and in education about the role of certification and licensure
  • Improved access to data that will enable certification bodies and licensing agencies to demonstrate value and quality to employers
  • Increased ability to track trends and best practices

The Certification and Licensure Advisory Group contains a wide variety of experts who seek best practices and new use cases for maximizing the utility of a transparent credential marketplace.
