On October 16, Executive Director, Scott Cheney, will join panelists for the Grantmakers Education Annual Conference in San Diego, California. This event brings together experts in education policy, programming, and philanthropy to discuss best practices and innovative ideas to better serve learners at all levels. This year’s conference will look for ways to serve the whole learner, with a particular focus on social and emotional learning.
Cheney will join panelists for a session entitled, “Using Data to Build Pathways to Bring Learners Into the Workforce,” where he will participate in a discussion of the wide array of pathways available to learners, the data needed to improve credential decisionmaking, and explore the role grantmakers can play both in helping to make this data accessible to the public and using it internally to meet the goals of their funding priorities.
