Cheney and Grann to Present at PESC Fall Data Summit

On October 18, Scott Cheney and Jeff Grann will travel to the PESC Fall Data Summit to join Jason Weaver from Parchment for a session entitled, “Expanding Credential Transparency & Interoperability: How the Credential Registry Is Growing.” This Summit, held in San Francisco, California, will focus on “Inspiring Digitalization and Mobility Across Education and Employment”and cover a number of topics important to the higher education and technology communities including: emerging initiatives, harnessing the power of a growing global community, and highlighting key pilot projects that are propelling education into the 21st century.
During their session, Cheney and Grann will discuss the use and applicability of the Credential Transparency Description Language (CTDL) and how it is supporting new “career pathway” descriptors, competency frameworks, and quality assurance actions. The panelists will also touch on state usage of the CTDL and efforts to harmonize data specifications across the education and workforce ecosystems.
