Credential Engine to Discuss Transparency at 2018 JFF Horizons Conference

June 13, 2018

On Wednesday, June 13, Credential Engine’s Laura Faulkner will join experts in education and workforce to discuss the value credential transparency brings to both the education and workforce marketplaces during this year’s Jobs for the Future (JFF) Horizons conference in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Horizons conference will bring together leading practitioners and policymakers across the K-12 and higher education and workforce fields, and will expand their focus this year to include innovators in technology, investing, and corporate talent development. Faulkner will be joined by Associate Executive Director, Workcred, Karen Elzey; Deputy Director of NIU Education Systems Center, Andrea Messing-Mathie; and JFF’s Senior Program Manager, Leah Moschella.

During their session, “Competency Mapping: A Process to Bridge the Education-Industry Divide,” panelists will explore how industry-led-competency-mapping can tighten the gaps between educational offerings and workplace needs. Panelists will share tangible resources and best practices to support active industry engagement and collaboration with educational stakeholders as well as discuss national, state, and regional strategies to create a shared vision between industry and education.
