NEBHE, in partnership with labor market analytics company Emsi, is focusing on expanding and scaling community-college publishing efforts in Massachusetts. Emsi is working with each institution to gather and map their data to the CTDL so that it is able to be easily published to the Registry. Building out a regional clearinghouse of credential data positions will position Massachusetts and the rest of the states in the region to better identify high value credential pathways within and across industries and states; promote upskilling opportunities for those without postsecondary credentials and un- and underemployed workers; and ultimately, increase access to and completion of credentials, particularly for returning adult students and individuals historically under-served by higher education and workforce development systems. Massachusetts is participating in this work as part of the HVCNE initiative.
