Jillian Scholten

State Partnerships Manager

Jillian Scholten serves as a State Partnerships Manager for Credential Engine where she brings her expertise in K-12, higher education, and workforce to assist states with increasing credential transparency. 

Before joining Credential Engine, she worked at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education as the Director of Academic Affairs and Talent Credentialing. Jillian managed the development and adoption of Credential Engine Indiana, the first state partnership. She led the publication of 3,000+ credentials and spearheaded the creation of technology tools utilizing Registry data, including the Indiana School Finder Tool and My College Core. She also advanced other complex initiatives including the Indiana e-Transcript Program, Learning and Employment Records, and Credit for Prior Learning. Jillian began her career working in college admissions and was the founder of the Indiana Transfer Council.

Jillian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications from Ball State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Jillian is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
